Whether you’re looking for a fabulous party starter or a quick and easy dinner idea, this recipe for Bacon and Blue Cheeseburger Flatbreads that I developed for Mealthy.com is easy to make and even easier to eat.
These Cheeseburger Flatbreads are loaded with ingredients that make them simply irresistible. Bacon and blue cheese give these flatbreads their smokey, salty, bold flavor. But caramelized onions are the gamechanger, delivering delicious, rich and savory sweetness. Top these flatbreads off with tomato and arugula and you’ve got perfection.
Caramelizing the onions takes a little time, but can always be done ahead of time and held in the refrigerator until needed. This recipe makes 4 flatbreads, perfect for dinner, tailgates or entertaining. It can easily be halved to make only 2 flatbreads.
