Ingredients
  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 cups chocolate chips I like to use a combination of chips...semi-sweet, chunks, milk, and dark
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder and set aside.  Beat butter with an electric mixer until smooth.  Add sugars and beat until fluffy.  Beat in eggs one at a time, beat in vanilla.  Gradually add flour mixture and beat just until flour is incorporated.  Add chocolate chips and mix on low speed until chips are evenly distributed.
  3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake 9 to 11 minutes until golden.  Leave cookies on cookie sheet 1 to 2 minutes.  Remove cookies and cool on wire rack.

  5. Serve with a big, tall glass of milk.
