- 4 tablespoons Country Crock® Plant Butter with Olive Oil Stick, divided
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 large tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Melt 2 tablespoons Country Crock Plant Butter in medium saucepan. Add onion and cook over medium-low heat 10 minutes or until very tender, stirring occasionally.

Add tomatoes and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in remaining Plant Butter and basil. Using an immersion blender, blend mixture to desired consistency.
We like this sauce a bit on the chunky side, but you can blend to whatever consistency you like. If you don't have an immersion blender, you can easily mash the tomatoes using a potato masher, pastry blender or fork
